This Italianate Style home from the "Victorian" Architectural Era is located in Historic Jefferson District downtown Lafayette. This home was originally built as a single family home between 1855 and 1875. This apartment has it's own private entrance... at the side of the building.
The brick carriage house at the rear of the property was built around 1875 and housed a carriage and stabled horses. The second floor was used for the storage of straw for bedding and hay for feed with circular louvered openings on the West and East end of the building. The carriage house was restored in 2001.
There are 4 - One Bedroom with Office apartments in the building. Each of the apartments has it's own washer and dryer provided. Apartment 422 has air conditioner, dishwasher, and laundry equipment in the apartment. The yard is spacious and the trees on 12th Street provide nice shade in the summer for parking on a quiet street.
